Kojic Acid is a natural skin lighting agent produced from fungi. It’s a byproduct of fermented products like Japanese sake, soy sauce, and rice wine. Kojic Acid inhibits and prevents the formation of tyrosine which is an amino acid used to produce melanin. Melanie is the pigment that affects hair skin and eye color. Because it inhibits the production of melanin, Kojic Acid has a lighting and brightening effect. Use daily until desired results are achieved and as needed after. For best results use sunscreen and stay out of direct sunlight.
